Course Conditions

This week has seen Aaron and his team use our new coring machine for the first time. On Monday and Tuesday, every green has been cored with solid 8mm tines, then rolled, and then cut (see video below). This machine is a great addition to the stable, and being able to do this on a regular basis will help keep our greens healthy. The reason to aerate the greens is to help air, nutrients, and water get down the root system. This maintenance, from a playing perspective, makes the greens more receptive to approach shots while still keeping the putting surface running very true.

The bunker at the 2nd green is close to completion, with all the matting being finished today and the sand going in next week, weather permitting. The new tee marker is in on the 13th hole, with the garden bed being finished on that hole. All in all, it has been another productive week by the team, and the course is looking good.

Junior Pennant Win!

On Sunday, May 21st, Woodford hosted the Sunshine Coast Region Junior Pennant where our team managed to win 2.5 - 1.5 against Maroochy River. Congratulations to everyone involved!

The team is off to Headland this Sunday.

Saturday 4BBB Stroke

The event held this Saturday is our annual 4BBB Stroke which is the qualifying round for the 4BBB Matchplay Honour Board. The daily competition of 4BBB Stroke is a normal Saturday competition with daily prizes on offer, The top 8 pairs from the competition will then be eligible for the Matchplay event.

All players will receive Single cards and the first two names on each row will be paired together. Each golfer plays their own ball; the team's score on each hole is the lower of the two players' nett scores. Only one of a pair is required to complete each hole. As this is part of an honour board event, tomorrows round will be played from the blue tees (men only). Ladies will be playing a Single Stableford from the red tees.

All pairings must notify the Pro Shop prior to tee off if you are qualifying.

Quarter Final - 10th of June - 10:45am

Semi Final - 17th of June - 10:45am

Final - 24th of June - 10:45am

Magpie Challenge

Magpie Challenge is back again this Friday 2nd June. The timesheet is open & filling fast so book in for your chance to win a Magpie Challenge Shirt for beating your handicap or $200 for the Mens & Ladies Winner.

New Cart Shed Update

The concrete slab has been laid today for the new cart shed located in the rear car park.

We expect construction to begin next month.
